Attorney Rachel M. Levitt

Attorney Rachel M. Levitt is an attorney admitted to practice law in Illinois, Michigan, and at the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribal Court of Michigan.  She attended Central Michigan University for her undergraduate degree.  Rachel also clerked at Levitt Law Firm, P.C. while going to college.  Upon graduation, Rachel moved to Chicago and went to law school at the University of Illinois Chicago (formally known as The John Marshall Law School).  Rachel graduated in the top of her class and was a member of several honors programs.  Additionally, she was the President of a student organization.

Once licensed in Illinois, Rachel became an attorney for the State of Illinois Securities Department.  This role entailed representing the state of Illinois and its citizens to protect them against fraud in the financial sector.  She worked with the FBI and Attorney General’s Office on many occasions.  Afterwards, she worked as a lawyer in the private sector practicing several areas of law, including but not limited to, business law, contract law, and civil litigation.  Rachel has strong negotiation and writing skills which are a tremendous asset to Levitt Law Firm.

In 2021, Rachel returned to Michigan and joined her father, Todd L. Levitt, at Levitt Law Firm. Rachel has recently worked on cases involving drinking and driving offenses, possession cases, driver’s License restoration cases, and many more.  She also practices Tribal Law and Business Law.  She is an active member in various law sections, including the American Indian Law, Business Law, Cannabis Law, and Criminal Law section.  You can hear her as a regular guest on The Todd L.
